Robert Colbert

Robert Colbert was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Colbert's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as "Claudelle Inglish" (1961), "A Fever in the Blood" (1961) and the Barry Newman drama "The Lawyer" (1970). He also appeared in the TV movie "City Beneath the Sea" (NBC, 1970-71). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "Maverick" (ABC, 1957-1962) and "The Time Tunnel" (ABC, 1966-67). In the seventies and the eighties, Colbert devoted his time to various credits, such as "The $10,000 Pyramid" (CBS, 1972-1980), "The Young and the Restless" (CBS, 1972-2015) and "Amazon Women on the Moon" with Arsenio Hall (1987). He also worked on "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" (1988) starring Keenen Ivory Wayans. Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles on "In the Heat of the Night" (1987-1994), "Wings" (1989-1997) and "Reasonable Doubts" (NBC, 1991-93). He also was featured in the TV movie "Disaster in Time" (Showtime, 1991-92). Most recently, Colbert appeared on "Pioneers of Television" (PBS, 2007-2015).
