One love

In a hot summer in the late 1990s, Alessandro and Anna meet by chance on a trip through Spain, keeping in touch by letter until they find themselves drawn back together for their first meeting in two decades.

After their meeting, Alessandro and Anna face their own challenges when their love is rekindled, as Anna questions her marriage while Ale has to choose whether to stay in Bologna.

Ale and Anna begin their affair, but the pair soon start to have contrasting experiences. While Ale becomes more invested in the relationship, Anna is more scared about what she has to lose.

Ale and Anna spend a romantic weekend away together, but their trip does not go as planned.

After Guido learns about the affair, Anna attempts to save their marriage while Ale debates on whether it is time to leave.

Two years after their last meeting, Ale and Anna no longer know anything about each other, but chance leaves the two stranded together in the same airport.
