Fearing the mediocrity of a life focused only on material gain, Filip (Pawel Okraska) struggles with devoting himself to serving God directly through a monastic life or serving humanity as a medical doctor. Although conflicted over his spiritual needs and his deep love for Hanka (Monika Krzywkowska), he withdraws to a mountain retreat where he engages in a deeply philosophical quest -- but this journey into self-imposed isolation could cost him Hanka forever.
