Mark Bacino

Mark Bacino is a New York-based singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer with a bent toward melodic rock and power pop. Born in New York City, Bacino grew up on a steady diet of the Monkees, Kiss, Herb Alpert, the Beach Boys, Cheap Trick, and other similarly inclined pop acts. By high school, Bacino had taught himself to play guitar and was already experimenting with four-track recording in his basement. After graduating from St. John's University, Bacino released several independent albums, including the 1997 EP Pop Job, released a year later in an expanded form. In 2003, Bacino released his sophomore full-length, The Million Dollar Milkshake, on Parasol. Also around this time, Bacino began producing and writing with other artists behind the scenes in his own Queens English recording studio. In 2010, he released his third full-length album, Queens English, on DreamCrush Records. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
