Jimmy Lloyd

Jimmy Lloyd was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Lloyd kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "She's a Sweetheart" (1944), "The Story of G.I. Joe" (1945) with Burgess Meredith and the drama "Gallant Journey" (1946) with Glenn Ford. He also appeared in "Cigarette Girl" (1947) and "My Dog Rusty" (1948). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the forties, appearing in "The Dark Past" (1948), the comedy "The Fuller Brush Man" (1948) with Red Skelton and the spy picture "Walk a Crooked Mile" (1948) with Louis Hayward. He also appeared in the Lucille Ball comedy "Miss Grant Takes Richmond" (1949). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Riders of the Whistling Pines" (1949), "Beauty on Parade" (1950) and "Battle of Rogue River" (1954) with George Montgomery. Lloyd also contributed music to the Nigel Patrick drama "Sapphire" (1959). Lloyd more recently acted in "A Touch of Larceny" (1960).
