Actress Arica Himmel first caught attention playing Amy Sedaris' granddaughter in wacky web series "Thanksgiving" (2016) before being cast as a younger version of Tracee Ellis Ross' Rainbow Johnson in the second "Black-ish" (ABC, 2014-) spin-off "Mixed-ish" (ABC, 2019-). Born and raised in New York, Arica Himmel first appeared on screen as Amy Sedaris' cocksure granddaughter Harper in all eight episodes of dysfunctional family comedy "Thanksgiving" (2016). Three years later she graduated to the big screen playing Mike Colter's daughter in "Before You Know It" (2019), an indie comedy about two sisters who discover that their presumed dead mother is a very much alive soap opera actress. Himmel also guested on an episode of spiritual dramedy "God Friended Me" (CBS, 2018-) but caught her big break when she was cast as the lead in "Mixed-ish" (ABC, 2019-). The second "Black-ish" (ABC, 2014-) spin-off after "Grown-ish" (Freeform, 2018-) saw Himmel play a younger version of Tracee Ellis Ross' Rainbow Johnson as she experiences life in a mixed-race family in the 1980s.
