American actor Matthew Lintz broke out in 2018 when he joined the cast of the psychological crime thriller "The Alienist" (TNT, 2018-). Born and raised in Georgia, his two older sisters, Mackenzie and Madison, were also film and TV actors, so it just seemed natural for Matthew to join the family business. He began acting in commercials at the age of 4, and nabbed his first big break in 2009 when he appeared in Rob Zombie's horror sequel "Halloween II" (2009). From there, Lintz's acting career quickly took off. In addition to landing roles in films like "The Way Home" (2010), "Piranha 3DD" (2012) and "Kill the Messenger" (2014), Lintz was also nabbing bit parts on popular shows like "Sleepy Hollow" (Fox, 2013-17) and "Banshee" (Cinemax, 2013-16). With his professional acting career less than a decade old, Lintz landed the opportunity of a lifetime when he joined the ensemble cast of the action comedy film "Pixels" (2015). Directed by Chris Columbus, the film starred such heavyweight actors as Adam Sandler, Peter Dinklage, Kevin James, and Josh Gad. The following year he appeared alongside Oscar winner Mathew McConaughey in the Civil War drama "Free State of Jones" (2016), which also starred Mahershala Ali and Keri Russell. Then in 2018 Lintz nabbed his breakout role on the TNT crime series "The Alienist." The series premiered to much anticipation in early 2018 and also starred the highly-regarded film actress Dakota Fanning.
