In the space of just three short years, Dutch actress Thekla Reuten was a prominent member of two Best Picture Oscar nominees. Granted, they were both in the Foreign Language Feature category, but in the Belgian comedy-drama "Everybody's Famous!" and the 2002 Dutch offering "Twin Sisters," she presented herself to international audiences as a force to be reckoned with. Although Reuten has failed to parlay her European success into a full-fledged Hollywood career, she was able to land a few notable English-language credits. She had a small part in the quirky 2008 hitman drama "In Bruges," a stage play adaptation starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, and guested on an episode of the ABC fantasy series "Lost." Genre fans meanwhile know her best for her work in the 2007 sci-fi adventure series entry "Highlander: The Source." But arguably Reuten's best work in the United States was for the underrated 2006-2007 Showtime series "Sleeper Cell." In the second season, she portrayed a Muslim fundamentalist posing as a nanny. She also appeared in the 2010 George Clooney thriller "The American," which was shot in Europe.
