Jessica (Angela Lansbury) investigates when her nephew (Michael Horton), a junior executive for a large accounting firm, is charged with tax fraud and the murder of his boss.

Max strikes up a relationship with a wealthy widow but when he realizes she is not what he's been looking for, he breaks it up. However, she soon becomes the target of some swindlers out to take all her money.

The partners take a man and his daughter (Dorothy Lamour) across the Moroccan desert to escape bandits.
