A Gutless Afternoon

S1 E5: Though one week has passed since the rookie, Hanamichi, is accepted into the team, he finds himself practicing dribbling in the corner of the court. Hanamichi wants to bypass the simple practices and go straight in to doing slam dunks, yet despite his inclinations he can't seem to escape from practicing the basics. Finally, his exasperation peaks and he throws in the ball. Hanamichi goes back to hanging with Yohei and his gang, but he still can't get Akagi's disapproving words out of his mind. Hanamichi awkwardly returns to basketball practice only to be greeted with a warm welcome by the team.
