Aliens and Deadly Cults

S3 E12: Mass suicides. Human sacrifices. Unholy rituals. Throughout history, people have claimed to have otherworldly knowledge, and have led followers to commit horrific acts of violence. Are they con men? Are they insane? Or might the voices in their heads really be of an extraterrestrial origin? Cult leader Marshall Applewhite led the members of Heaven's Gate to kill themselves based on his alleged contact with extraterrestrials. Mass murderer Adolfo Constanzo claimed to be guided by Kadiempembe...a West African trickster god. And the Thuggee of India killed for the Hindu goddess Kali. Could these men have had actual contact with alien beings? And if so, did they simply misinterpret the messages they received? Or might there be extraterrestrials with a sinister agenda?
