One of the greatest tragedies of the Balkan civil war was how many people simply just disappeared - an estimated 12,000 people remain unaccounted for. But thanks to the wonders of modern science, there is hope that the bodies of those who disappeared can be returned to their families for proper burial and that their killers may be brought to justice.
