S1, E1: It’s 1908 and Chicago-born Harry Selfridge has arrived in London with a grand plan–to open the biggest and finest department store the world has ever seen. With a frosty reception from the British press, and the last-minute abandonment by a business partner, the pressure is on to get the store up and running.
