Episode 1

S1 E1: With a German invasion inevitable, islanders rush to secure spots on the few boats leaving for England. For three families - politician James Dorr (James Wilby) and his wife Felicity (Clare Holman), policeman Wilf Jonas (Owen Teale) and his wife Kathleen (Julia Ford) and shopkeeper Cassie Mahy (Saskia Reeves) and her husband Urban (Julian Wadham) - time runs out to evacuate.
