S2 E9: Alexey Orlov is appointed the commander of Russian forces in the growing war against the Ottoman Empire. The Orlov brothers ambush Lieutenant Potemkin. Ekaterina's love for Girgory withers along with his health. Sofya is dismissed, Pavel becomes furious. Ekaterina is recognized as "Ekaterina the Great" for the first time.
