S1 E12: The new member of Barney's squad is an unconventional loner with a beard, who is cool about becoming a member of the precinct team. Guardeno, a former member of the Narcotics Squad, is transferred to Barney's division and arrives in fatigue jacket, gold earring and beard. Barney's job is to get the newcomer to fit in with the squad when Guardeno shows no interest in joining with the others.
