Kill Huggy Bear

S1 E9: Starsky and Hutch's confidant, Huggy Bear, becomes a target for murder when he is robbed of $50,000 before he can return the "hot" money to the racketeer from whom it was stolen in "Kill Huggy Bear." After holding up a candy store, Huggy's crooked friend, Dewey Hughes, dis-covers he has grabbed a fortune from what is obviously a front for a big time numbers operation. Realizing he has stepped on some dangerous toes, Dewey persuades Huggy to contact racketeer Lou Malinda, explain the mistake, return the money to Malinda and thus get Dewey off the hook. But Huggy gets mugged and is faced with an ultimatum from Malinda to get the money up or get killed.
