Losing a Best Friend

S2 E9: Ruby becomes an emotional wreck when her beloved dog Lucy becomes gravely ill. Lucy's kidneys are failing her and Ruby must give her daily injections to help them function. Ruby feels herself wanting to turn to food to help comfort her during this difficult time, but she knows she must learn how to cope with the pain in other ways. She turns to her friends from Women's Fat Night for emotional support and decides to hold a workshop to show the ladies how to cook quick and healthy meals. Also, an addiction specialist shares her own weight loss story and gives the ladies insight into emotional eating and how to beat it. Meanwhile, Ruby is devastated when Lucy passes away. She buries her at a local pet cemetery and holds a funeral with her closest friends to say her final goodbye to one of her best friends.
