Skippy and the Foxy Dog

S1 E8: Is there a fox killing the birds at Habitat? It looks like it, and Sonny and Dave investigate. Meantime, Skippy gets a fright - she has always been mates with Buster, the dog belonging to Lou’s best friend, Elyse. But Buster is suddenly snarling at Skippy, and no-one knows why. There’s another unhappy dog in the neighbourhood too - Honey, who is owned by a council worker. At the episode’s end, a sad truth has to be faced. Buster is the culprit with the birds - he has a brain tumour which is driving him mad with pain. That explains his behaviour, but he cannot be saved and he has to be put down. Elyse is very upset. But there’s a hopeful ending in sight - Honey is grumpy because she’s pregnant, and when her pups are born, Elyse ends up accepting one of them to replace Buster. Life is a cycle, after all!
