Skippy and the Surf Club

S1 E21: Lou and Jerry are mad keen to join the Nippers, the Junior Surf Lifesavers. But Lou’s swimming is not quite up to scratch, and everyone has to make a concerted effort to help her train. Then things go badly. A less-than-friendly beach inspector hunts Skippy off the beach, and shortly afterwards, Lou is caught in a real-life rescue situation and freezes, helpless. She’s heartbroken, feeling that she is a failure. Jerry offers to pretend to be drowning so she can save him and feel better, a plan that Sonny vetos very quickly. However, Jerry runs into real trouble in the surf trying to save someone’s dog, and this time Lou meets the challenge. She rescues her brother with Skippy’s help. And the beach inspector and the Surf Lifesaving movement are proud of them all.
