S1 E2: Repainting an Ancient Picture - This is the story of mankind's attempt to bring back a horse from the dead. The Tarpan roamed in wild herds across Europe for millennia, yet the breed became extinct in the 19th century. Today the careful work of international teams is bringing a small herd of genetically bred, modern Tarpan to the remote mountains of eastern Europe. Here the horse faces a whole new challenge, struggling to become wild again.
