In this episode, we celebrate maritime heroes who left their mark on history through their bravery and skill, including Larry Chambers, who overcame prejudice as the first African-American in charge of a carrier, Ernest Evans, who sacrificed it all to protect his fleet during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, and Robert Smalls, who commandeered a Confederate steamer to ferry slaves to freedom.
