S1, E1: In the premiere episode, meet Dr. Jan Pol, who, along with his wife Diane, runs thriving veterinary clinic located in Central Michigan's farm country. As hardworking as he is eccentric, Dr. Pol is nothing short of a local legend within the community thanks to his old school, no-nonsense approach to animal care. As the clinic's 30th anniversary approaches, the Pols plan an old-fashioned pig roast for their employees, longtime clients and former colleagues. Among the special guests is their son Charles, who lives in Los Angeles and decides to extend his stay so he can help his father with his formidable workload.
