What is it about?

In Your Friends & Neighbors, Jon Hamm is a financial titan who turns to theft after losing his job and marriage, soon getting tangled in a deadly web.

In Season 1, after being fired in disgrace, Andrew Cooper (Jon Hamm), a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce, resorts to stealing from his neighbors’ homes in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined.

In Season 2, Andrew Cooper doubles down on his life as an unlikely suburban thief, until the arrival of a new neighbor (James Marsden) threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk.

    Having appeared in a wide range of films over the course of his career, James Marsden continues to carve out a distinctive place in Hollywood. Marsden can currently be seen in his Emmy®-nominated role starring in the political thriller Paradise opposite Sterling K. Brown and Julianne Nicholson.     What happens at the end of Season 1?

    By the end of Season 1 of Your Friends & Neighbors, Coop discovers that Paul Levitt (Sam’s ex-husband) actually died by suicide and that Sam staged the scene to look like a murder while planting the weapon in the trunk of Coop’s car. When Coop confronts Sam, she pulls a gun but can’t bring herself to shoot. Coop is ultimately cleared, and Sam escapes consequences. Meanwhile, Coop’s old hedge fund partners beg him to return with a huge offer, but in the final twist, he skips the flight and breaks into his boss Jack’s house to steal a painting, proving he’s fully crossed over into a life of crime.

    Of course, the residents in Westmont Village are rich and own everything. Luckily for Coop, with wealth comes complacency, and they don’t always turn them on. For the ones that do, Elena has a handy Wi-Fi jammer to disarm the security systems and make their thieving go off without a hitch.

    Where is the series filmed?

    Your Friends & Neighbors was filmed mostly in the Hudson Valley and New York City, using actual estates to stand in for the show’s fictional wealthy suburb of Westmont Village. Golf and country club scenes were shot at historic estates like the Woodlea mansion at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
