1966. A bombing strategy in North Vietnam known as Operation Rolling Thunder is taking a toll on the pilots of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing. The odds of capture or death are staggering, and morale is low. The USAF makes two critical moves. They send in Col. Robin Olds--a swashbuckling flying ace--to rekindle the unit's warrior spirit.
