A group of young boys free the Boogeyman from captivity. When the Boogeyman's insatiable need to kill leads it to murder his own keeper - it goes on a rampage through a small town. It targets a young boy to become his future keeper, and the boy's father (the town Sheriff) must stop him. Along the way, they learn that the Boogeyman is actually the world's first murderer, Cain (from the Bible), Cain cannot be killed but must instead have a chosen keeper that will watch over him for all eternity.
