Border Café
Following her husband's death, tradition deems that Reyhan must marry her brother-in-law, Nasser. Breaking from convention, Reyhan decides instead to establish her independence by reopening her late husband's café situated near the border between Iran and Turkey. Reyhan's decision is not received lightly. Nasser, spurned, harasses his dead brother's wife, excessively buys her gifts, lecturs her on custom and attempts to ruin her business. At the same time, the titular border café slowly builds a patchwork community around Reyhan, including a gentle Greek truck driver and a Russian runaway girl.
