Keanu Reeves is Johnny Mnemonic, an elite agent who is hired to deliver a vital message past the Yakuza by storing the encrypted information in his wet wired brain in the year 2021. The downloaded message exceeds his storage capacity, and without knowing its importance, he races to get this toxic message out of his brain before it kills him.
