Old San Francisco
In this silent melodrama set in turn-of-the-century San Francisco, cruel and greedy Chris Buckwell--who is secretly of mixed race--relentlessly persecutes Chinese immigrants while scheming to take over the land of Don Hernández Vásquez. When Vásquez refuses Buckwell's offer, death, betrayal--and the great 1906 earthquake--ensue.
