Esmeralda Grimm and her half-sister Fancy, are on the final leg of their journey home from Jamaica to the House of Grimm in Somerset. Stumbling upon a coven of witches, they take refuge in a deserted tavern. Befriended by an amorous yokel, they awake to discover their horses stolen. Reaching Grimm Manor the following day, they are reacquainted with their relatives who think they are imposters.
