The Bridge School Concerts
The Bridge School Concerts 25th Anniversary Digital Edition allows you, for the first time, to experience the best of the renowned Bridge School Benefit Concerts from your computer and mobile devices while helping The Bridge School, an innovative organization educating children with severe speech and physical impairments. The Concert series began in 1986 when Pegi Young, co-founder of The Bridge School, enlisted her husband, Neil Young, and friends to play an all acoustic concert to benefit the Bridge School in its founding year. That concert, featuring Don Henley, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young started a tradition that has lasted to the present day. The 25th Anniversary Edition showcases some of the many highlights from the past 25 years, featuring 25 rare and acoustic performances from artists such as Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Bonnie Raitt, Metallica, The Who, and (of course) Neil Young. The program also features a documentary on The Bridge School as well as a behind-the-scenes look at The Bridge School Benefit Concerts. "The Bridge School Story" is a portrait of the school and its mission, as told by co-founder Pegi Young, Executive Director Dr. Vicki R. Casella, and the staff of The Bridge School. "Backstage at the Bridge School Concerts" explores what makes the concerts such a personally memorable experience for all participants: the artists, fans, concert staff, and most importantly, the students, graduates, and parents of The Bridge School.
