WWI 1914-1918: War In the East
The war on the Eastern front began with the Austrian invasion of Serbia on July 1914. It would grow to encompass a vast geography from the baltic to the black sea, and from the carpathian mountains to the caucasus'. On paper, the Russian army was a formidable force. Aptly named the "Russian Steamroller", 1.2 million men organized into 70 infantry and 24 cavalry divisions with a large arsenal.
