When a key witness in Danny's case is killed just before testifying, Erin angers Danny by enlisting Anthony (Steve Schrippa) to help him find the killer. Also, Robert Lewis (Michael Imperioli) tries to force Frank to publicly support the Attorney General’s investigation of the use of excessive force by police, and Eddie and Jamie get the call for an attempted suicide.
Bull’s team worries that they’re in over their heads when they take on the seemingly unwinnable case of Elliott Miles (Frank De Julio), a mute man facing the death penalty if he’s found guilty of murder and arson. Also, Bull is stunned to learn that his ex-wife is remarrying.
Root goes undercover at a radio station to protect the host of a conspiracy theory show who may have stumbled on information that someone is willing to kill to keep secret. Also, Samaritan’s agents try to convince a member of the team that their goals are noble.
Keller calls Hank for help when he suffers an embarrassing medical problem, but Hank believes Keller's new girlfriend may be affecting his health in more ways than one. Divya treats a group of Civil War reenactors who seem to be suffering from a disease more likely to afflict their ancestors. And Evan worries he may be in over his head when he gets roped into a secret project with Boris.
Gordon takes Dr. Leslie Thompkins to the circus, but the day turns quickly when the circus comes under attack. Then, Falcone enlists Butch Gilzean (recurring guest star Drew Powell) to help Penguin with the nightclub, while Fish Mooney is otherwise occupied. Also, Bruce Wayne schedules a meeting with the Wayne Enterprises board.
