Anne Roussel

French actress Anne Roussel, is the sister of Myriem Roussel, the Moroccan-born star who found fame in Jean-Luc Godard's controversial 1985 film "Hail Mary." However Anne -- who is two years Myriem's senior -- has also forged a successful career in her own right, which began in 1981 with a small role in the thriller "Un Assassin Qui Passe," which starred Jean-Louis Trintignant. Since then, she has notched up a steady stream of appearances in French films, TV movies and shows, including 1986's "Flagrant Desir," which had an international cast featured Sam Waterston (whose dialogue was dubbed into French), and "I Want To Go Home" in 1987, the story of an American cartoonist who visits Paris and is unprepared for the culture shock he receives. On the small screen, Roussel has appeared in the long-running French series "Haute Tension" and an episode of the Gallic detective series "Maigret" in 1997. As well as continuing to act steadily over the past few decades, Roussel has also branched out into writing and directing. In 1990, she made the short film "Lily veut qu'on l'aime" which featured her sister as one of its four cast members.
