Eoghan Mahony

Writer and producer Eoghan Mahony has been associated with some of the most cutting-edge and influential TV series of the 21st century. He kick-started his career at the innovative cable network HBO as a story consultant on the second season of their extravagant period drama "Rome." He received his first writer credit penning the episode "Philippi," which depicted the historical Battle of Philippi fought following the murder of Julius Caesar. The series concluded that year, but Mahony reteamed with "Rome" co-creator Bruno Heller on his next endeavor, the psychic police procedural "The Mentalist." Besides writing several episodes of the series since its debut in 2008, Mahony served as a producer on the series in various capacities. Credits include producer, supervising producer, and co-executive producer. Outside of his work with Heller, Mahony joined the ill-fated action series "Drive" in 2007, on which he served as co-producer and episode author before its near-instantaneous cancellation. Mahony has also contributed content to Cartoon Network's acclaimed CG animated "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" adventure series. The gig allowed Mahony to write for classic "Star Wars" characters like Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
