When "Jake Ryan," a famous TV actor, enrolls in Miley's school and reaps the benefits of all the preferential treatment, Miley reconsiders whether or not to keep her secret as Hannah Montana. Jackson borrows Robby's car and accidentally puts a scratch on it, unaware that Robby has accidentally done more damage than that to Jackson's own vehicle.

Dolly accidentally records Miley expressing her feelings for Jake Ryan. The tape gets confused with another tape and Dolly, Miley, and her friends must race to get it back before Jake Ryan sees it. Also, Robby and Jackson try to stay manly despite all the girly things Dolly introduces to their home during her stay.

Roxy attends Sea View Middle School as a new tween student in order to protect Miley from the new school bully, the Cracker. Unable to take Roxy's interference with her school and social life, Miley finally does the right thing and gets the principal involved to help solve the problem. Robby and Jackson get stuck in the snow when attempting to take a weekend fishing trip and meet a lonely inn keeper and his ventriloquist dummy.

When Miley's school rival, Amber lands a spot on the Singing with the Stars Competition featuring Hannah Montana, Miley, Lilly and Oliver see it as an opportunity to finally embarrass her once and for all. But Miley's conscious gets the better of her and in the end she allows Hannah's performance to be sabotaged instead of Amber's. Meanwhile, Jackson and Robby try to solve the problem of their next door neighbor, Mr. Dontzig's barking dog.
