Kiki Sukezane

Diminutive in stature but certainly not in spirit, actress Kiki Sukezane got her start in Japanese action films before making her international breakthrough with the role of Miko Otomo in "Heroes Reborn" (NBC, 2015-). Born in Kyoto, Sukezane first experienced life in the US when she spent a year in South Dakota as a foreign exchange student. On her return to her homeland, she attended an acting school owned by prominent casting director Yoko Narahashi, going on to land her first acting role in action movie "Death Yankee 2" (2012) and its 2013 sequel. After relocating to Los Angeles, Sukezane starred as mischievous animal-eared creation Nuko in "The Yokai King" (2013), a fantasy series based on Japanese supernatural folklore, and took on the role of Zofia 'Lethal Willow' in noirish detective drama "The Port of San Pedro" (2015). Sukezane then drew upon her years of extensive Samurai training when she was cast as Miko Otomo, the sword-fighting Japanese girl who travels to America in search of her missing father, in event miniseries "Heroes Reborn" (NBC, 2015-). A year later, Sukezane appeared on the big screen as sassy moped driver Bubblegum in German-Japanese sci-fi road movie "Fonotune" (2016).
