Mau y Ricky

Mau y Ricky are a Latin Pop performing and songwriting duo and the sons of legendary vocalist Ricardo Montaner. Mau (drums) and Ricky (guitar) began their collective musical career as part of their father's backing band. Offstage they established themselves as canny professional songwriters, penning hits for a range of artists including Thalía ("Porlo que Reste de Vida), Leslie Grace ("Aire"), Diego Boneta ("Éramos Algo" and "Llamado de Atención"), Ednita Nazario ("Ya No Me Duele Tanto"), Yuridia ("Mentira"), and Brian Cross ("Hielo" with Miguel Bosé), to name a few. Mau y Ricky also served as coaches for two consecutive seasons of the reality television show <I>La Voz Colombia alongside judges Fanny Lu, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Andres Cepeda, and their father. Their first single, 2016's "Voy Que Quemo," landed on the charts on virtually all digital platforms and placed at radio stations across Latin America, paving the way for Arte, the duo's debut album on Sony, in 2017. Early 2019 saw the arrival of the single "La Boca" (featuring Camilo), ahead of the release of the duo's sophomore effort Para Aventuras y Curiosidades, which was issued later that May. ~ Thom Jurek, Rovi
