Paul Motian

Paul Motian brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. In 1959, he joined the Bill Evans Trio. In 1967, he played with Keith Jarrett. In 1973, he released his debut solo album, "Conception Vessel," on ECM. Motian's music was featured in the action movie "Punishment Park" (1971) with Paul Alelyanes. Motian's music was most recently featured in "The Mysterious Human Heart" (2007-08). Motian passed away in November 2011 at the age of 80.
