Phoebe Bridgers

American singer and songwriter Phoebe Bridgers was born in Pasadena, California. Her interest for music started at an early age, when she would earn extra money by busking on the streets of her hometown. Bridgers studied vocal jazz and was part of several different groups over the years, such as Sloppy Jane, despite still presenting solo. Her first solo album, "Stranger in the Alps" (2017), helped her expand her career by working with other artists. Numerous songs from the record have been featured in television productions since, including Switched at Birth (Freeform, 2011-17) and Castle (ABC, 2009-16). In 2018, Bridgers joined the group Boygenius, whose first EP was met with widespread acclaim. The following year, she debuted another band, Better Oblivion Community Center. Her second solo album, "Punisher" (2020), also received good reviews. The same year, she worked as a producer for other artists' endeavors, released another EP and announced the release of her own label Saddest Factory. Bridgers also garnered four nominations at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Alternative Music Album. In 2021, she collaborated with The Killers, Metallica, Taylor Swift, and Lorde, before going on tour through the United States. Bridgers went on to release songs for the soundtracks of TV series "Conversations With Friends" (Hulu, 2022) and the movie "Minions: The Rise of Gru" (2022), besides working with SZA and Danny Elfman. Besides her talent, Bridgers is known for her progressive views and philanthropic work, often donating the profit from her recordings to LGBT or Women's Centers.
