Out of the Ashes S17, E1: With half the crab boats tied up, Sig devises a plan to save the fishery from destruction. As Bering Sea legend Johnathan Hillstrand returns with the Time Bandit to help, veterans struggle to prove they can work together to defend the American dream.

After a much-needed respite, the crews change over their fishing gear and head back out into the icy northern reaches of the Bering Sea, home of the Opilio crab. Fishing for Opilio crab in January is the ultimate adventure for Alaskan fisherman. The temperatures are colder, the seas are rougher, and the fishing is even more dangerous.
