Disaster strikes 62 West Wallaby Street when Wallace discovers he’s run out of his favourite snack. The only solution is, of course, to build his own space ship, as he's heard that the moon is a very good source of cheese. Accompanied by his long-suffering pet dog Gromit, he sets off on an out-of-this-world escapade where they encounter a strange oven-shaped robot who has his own plans for their rocket… This is the adventure that first introduced Wallace and Gromit, winning the British Academy Award (BAFTA) for Best Animated Film in 1989. It was also nominated for an Oscar, only being beaten by director Nick Park's other nomination that year, Creature Comforts.
Times are hard at 62 West Wallaby Street, so Wallace decides to take a lodger - but Gromit's suspicions are immediately aroused by the sinister penguin who answers his advert. While the feathered intruder starts to take his place in Wallace's affections, Gromit is determined to uncover the interloper's secret - one which involves Wallace's latest invention, the NASA-designed Techno Trousers, a rubber glove and a spectacular jewellery heist. Featuring brilliant slapstick, hair-raising tension and one of the most unforgettable climaxes every filmed, this classic comedy adventure was awarded the 1993 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, the first of three Oscars which Nick Park's world-renowned duo has received.
Wallace and Gromit’s latest money-making enterprise is a window-cleaning business – an innocent enough occupation, it might seem, but one which soon finds Gromit on the trail of a deadly mystery involving sheep-rustling and a dog-food factory, while Wallace is blinded by love for the local wool-shop owner Wendolene. Things go from bad to worse as a lost lamb chews his way through 62 West Wallaby Street, and Gromit is imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. Can he escape in time to stop the evil guard dog Preston from achieving his sinister ends? This fast-paced and hilarious adventure won another Academy Award for director Nick Park, and introduced one of the best-loved animated characters of all time, Shaun The Sheep, for good measure.
Wallace and Gromit have opened a new bakery "Top Bun" and business is booming, not least because a deadly cereal killer has murdered all the other bakers in town. Gromit is worried that they may be the next victims, but Wallace couldn't care – he's fallen head over heels in love with Piella Bakewell, former star of the Bake-O-Lite bread commercials. So Gromit is left to run things on his own when he'd much rather be getting better acquainted with Piella's lovely pet poodle Fluffles. But then Gromit makes a shocking discovery which points to the killer's true identity. Can he save his master from becoming the next baker to be butchered? And does Fluffles know more than she is saying? It's a classic "who doughnut" mystery, as four-time Academy Award winning director Nick Park creates a hilarious new masterpiece in the tradition of "master of suspense" Alfred Hitchcock.
