Dana Delany stars as Dr. Megan Hunt, a brilliant neurosurgeon who was at the top of her game when her world was turned upside down by a devastating car accident. Unable to operate, Megan begins a new career as a medical examiner. Losing everything has forced her to slow down and pay attention to the little details that most people miss. Megan’s instincts are razor sharp, but her difficult reputation precedes her wherever she goes. She’s fearless, but it’s all in the name of justice, which slowly earns her the respect of her boss Dr. Kate Murphy (Jeri Ryan) and her colleagues in the police department. Her career isn’t the only thing that needs to be fixed, though. Megan’s family has taken a backseat to her ambition and she’s still got a lot of work to do when it comes to dissecting her relationships with the living.
