Season 3
TV Show · Comedy · Reality

“Human Resources” is a comedic real-life docu-series about TerraCycle, an innovative company whose mission is to “eliminate the idea of waste.” Run by an idealistic 34-year-old entrepreneur named Tom Szaky, TerraCycle is one of the fastest growing green companies in the world. Tom and the team at TerraCycle take anything and everything that is landfill-bound – from potato chip bags to used diapers – and recycle, up-cycle, re-use, or otherwise transform these objects into something else. TerraCycle dreams of a day when garbage cans will belong on the trash heap of history. Back for its third season on Pivot, “Human Resources” chronicles the company’s corporate and social mission, while simultaneously documenting the unique, funny, and often awkward social dynamics amongst its young staff. This season features new faces around the office at TerraCycle, as Raj, Gina, and Rich join the team. TerraCycle has solved many a first world recycling problem, such as coffee capsules and credit cards, but in season three their mission to find a solution for every product on earth is taken to all new heights. From expanding their public location recycling system to the U.S. to taking on the taboo topic of recycling condoms, there’s always plenty going on at TerraCycle. Headquartered in Trenton, New Jersey, and with 21 offices around the world, TerraCycle is a breeding ground for idealism: Tom believes firmly that if you can dream it, you can do it – and he encourages his eclectic cast of employees to try to come up with bigger and better ways of reducing and transforming waste. The result is brilliant recycling breakthroughs and avant-garde design concepts that are helping pioneer an often-ignored industry. This series blends environmental innovation with laugh-out-loud comedy into a reality TV cocktail for the 21st century.
