After defeating a superstar video gamer player on national television, Brian D gets an invitation to Video Game High School and manages to make friends on his first day… while also making an enemy.

Brian D suffers the consequences after inciting a fight with The Law; Ki tries to help Ted with becoming a drift racer, only to end with disastrous results.

Brian goes to an upperclassman party with Ted and Ki in hopes of trying to impress his crush Jenny Matrix, but his plan becomes derailed when he encounters The Law.

Brian and Jenny’s relationship strengthens as she allows him to play on the JV team as they prepare to scrimmage The Law and the Varsity squad; Ted grapples with repressing his passion for drift racing.

In the thrilling climax of season one, Brian comes back to prove that he belongs at VGHS by playing in the JV / Varsity match, but The Law wants nothing more than to see him fail.

The FPS team gets a new coach, causing turmoil between Brian and Jenny. Ki and Ted struggle with the most intense aspect of VGHS: homework.
