Season 8

The year is now 1990, and despite the endless stream of lawbreakers who appear before him — with every wacky excuse imaginable — Judge Harry T. Stone (Harry Anderson) maintains his belief that he can help the people brought before him in New York City’s night court. This season on the Emmy®-winning comedy, Harry and defense attorney Christine Sullivan (Markie Post) begin seeing each other outside of work, but when Christine’s ex-husband (guest star Ray Abruzzo – The Practice) shows up, Harry may let jealousy sabotage the budding relationship. Plus, Mac (Charles Robinson) is offered a new job as a clerk to a Supreme Court justice, and Dan, after learning his assistant Phil (Will Utay – Days of Our Lives) is rich, begins plotting to become best friends. Guest stars in season eight also include Stephen Root (NewsRadio, The West Wing), Louis Mustillo (Mike & Molly) and an appearance by crooner Mel Torme as Harry’s guardian angel.
