In 2009, Family Guy earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series, making it only the second animated series in television history to be honored with such a distinction. The show follows the adventures of lovable oaf Peter Griffin (Seth MacFarlane) and his hilariously odd family of middle-class New Englanders. During the upcoming season, the Griffins and fellow Quahog residents attend a fancy dinner party and become embroiled in a classic "whodunit” murder mystery, Lois becomes a local sports hero, and Stewie works for Brian as his literary manager.
