Daniel Rampton has been on the run since the accident, but he contacts his brother for help. With her mother in critical condition, Christine questions how her husband, Brian, walked away from the crash unscathed. Meanwhile, Tolin investigates the disappearance of Karen Donnelly and clashes with Stallwood over the case and their own unresolved personal issues.

After Jeffrey and Sandra are brought in for questioning about the body found in Daniel's van, Sandra demands that her husband come clean to her and takes charge of the situation. As Tolin digs deeper into the mystery of Karen's killing, he begins to uncover a corporate conspiracy, even as he endures an emotional crisis with his daughter.
