Kirstie Allsopp returns to create the perfect homemade Christmas. In this first edition, Kirstie presents her guide to creating perfect Christmas decorations. Keen to show that unique, stylish Christmas decoration needn't cost the earth, she returns to visit some of her old friends, the artisans who helped her transform her cottage Meadowgate. Next, there's the all important Christmas cake.

Calling on the skills of some of the UK's most talented crafts people Kirstie wants to prove that you don't have to hit the high street this Christmas to light up your loved-ones faces. Kirstie visits Devon soap maker Jenny Elsmore who helps Kirstie pick the finest ingredients and create her own recipe, showing you how to make soap.

Kirstie gets ready for the ultimate homemade Christmas party. First on the menu is the all-important turkey, with the help of cookery writer Amy Willcock, some herbs and plenty of butter. Mince pies come next and these traditional little puds are turned into Christmassy works of art, with gold leaf and edible glitter giving them a glamorous vintage appeal. Next up, Kirstie gets help from a top chocolatier.
