After spending 20 years in prison, Maria gets ready to leave and be able to rebuild her life. Esteban makes his children believe that his mother has died. Alba discovers that Esteban is trying to rebuild his life with another woman.

Maria suffers believing that her children will not want to be with her when she gets out of prison. Maria tells Vivian how Esteban and her family accused her of murder. Esteban confesses to Leonel that Patricia was murdered.

Leonel suffers when he learns that his mother was murdered. Ana Rosa is afraid that Esteban will discover that Carlos is her lover. Maria gets happy to know that she will soon be able to get out of jail.
